A young man in the garden
Teaching of the souls
Mothers pushing young ones
Towards the Teacher's robes
Elders stood their ground
Children not allowed
But Jesus said

Who will lead the children
Take them by the hand
Who will feed the children
The knowledge of this plan
That we send into this world
A child holy and pure
And they will lead

Cycles never cease
Though moving through the years
Children take with them
Our hunger and our fears
A child has grown in love
That another never sees
But who will lead

Give them roots to stand on
Give them wings to fly
Someone gave you this much
Give it back with life

Who will lead the children
Take them by the hand
Who will feed the children
The knowledge of this plan
That we send into this world

He will lead the children
